While Cody and Tanner were plotting their scheme, Shubi flew as fast as he could and landed on the little girl’s shoulder. He told the little girl, “My name is Shubi. What is your name?”
“I’ve never heard of a bird that can talk!” The little girl giggled and then replied, “My name is Lauren. My brother Jude and I are lost.”
Shubi smiled and said, “Nice to meet you Lauren. You have never heard a bird talk before? All animals can talk, but most do not because they are shy, and no one takes the time to listen. I’m not shy though. I talk all the time, whether someone is listening or not!”
